     Hilary Mark Hynes began his career as a painting conservator for The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.  He has been in private practice for more than thirty- five years. He is considered to be one of the leading conservators in the country for eighteenth century, nineteenth century and contemporary paintings.
